OPPORTUNITY TO BE INVOLVED!!

CONSUMER/FAMILY INPUT IS NEEDED

MMHAG - Minnesota Mental Health Action Group is inviting consumers and family members to participate in several important work groups.
They are able to pay expense reimbursement and a pre Diem to allow consumers and family members to get involved.

The three work groups in which this participation is being sought are

  1. Model Payment System: developing a new way for the state of Minnesota to pay for publicly funded mental health services.
The group is expected to develop a model by late January that would be proposed to the legislature during the 2006 session.

  2. Quality and Performance Measurement: developing a statewide program to collect data on the quality of mental health services provided by Minnesota mental health providers.
This group is also expected to develop recommendations by late January and to develop legislation for the 2006 session.

  3. Ease of Access and Coordination of Services: identifying access and coordination of care problems in the existing system, setting priorities for problems to be addressed by the group, and making recommendations to MMHAG work groups and the Steering Committee on how to make the system easier for consumers and families to access and navigate.
This group will develop some recommendations for the other work groups during December and January, then will develop additional recommendations and feedback when the other work groups have developed their proposals
